Asheville has a longstanding reputation as a healing retreat. For years many have flocked to this city for peace of mind and solace.
Healthcare options are bountiful in Asheville with both medical and holistic options available, throughout the region. Mission Hospital is both nationally and locally ranked as a “best hospital” and is the only level II trauma center in the region.
Go Green Solutions, LLC is thankful for medical centers such as these because they provide work for the people in the area! All of the medical facilities in the area produce medical waste. This is where Go Green Solutions, LLC comes in! We can help these facilities not only provide state approved medical waste pick up, but also help the companies to safe and compliant.
Go Green Solutions, LLC is blessed to service the Asheville area; ensuring that the local area as well as the residents are taken care of in the best way possible. Many are unaware that medical waste cannot just be disposed of in their regular trash. Our goal here at Go Green Solutions, LLC is to provide that awareness. Medical waste has infectious pathogens and viruses that can be easily spread if it were to come in contact with a human.
Included in medical waste would be for example: sharps, soaked gauze, human tissue, syringes, patient IV’s, etc. Due to the fact that Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) are always present on the above items, it is crucial to properly dispose of them immediately after use. This is what helps prevent and stop the spread of infectious diseases and prevent contamination of sterile environments.
According to the CDC HAI Data: Found in the below link https://www.cdc.gov/hai/data/index.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fhai%2Fsurveillance%2Findex.html
Although significant progress has been made in preventing some healthcare-associated infection types, there is much more work to be done. On any given day, about one in 31 hospital patients has at least one healthcare-associated infection.
CDC publishes data reports to help track progress and target areas that need assistance. The data come from two complementary HAI surveillance systems, the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and the Emerging Infections Program Healthcare-Associated Infections – Community Interface (EIP HAIC).
Go Green Solutions, LLC makes it our priority to help reduce these risks by providing necessary OSHA Compliance Training to our customers in Asheville, NC.
